By joining the LIPU project for the protection and reintegration of the white stork in Northern Italy, a group of volunteers from the Adda Sud Park has built a stork acclimatization station in collaboration with Ca' Granda. There, they took care of the feeding, reproduction and well-being of the specimens until the local species was no longer at risk. Today, the station remains a gathering point for storks, who build their nests atop totems raised by volunteers. Furthermore, school groups can visit the center with its xylotheque ("wood library") and admire the display of stag beetles collected and cataloged by volunteers.

The storks are constantly monitored to collect data on their reproduction and well-being.

«Dear stork, please, will you bring me a little brother?
